The first 15 minutes and the last 15 minutes of the game.
Sid Meier’s focuses especially on those two key moments between the game and the user. This is also clearly something that movies directors and music producers have paid a lot of attention to.
At Maxis with the open simulation, there is no real concept for the last 15 minutes, but in games with more explicit goals, there is clearly a “last 15 minutes” experience.
